New AMD processors with Vega graphics coming soon

AMD Ryzen, Ryzen APU, Radeon Vega AMD, Ryzen 3 2200GE, Ryzen 5 2400GE

Good, integrated graphics.

After the premiere of the new generation of second generation processors, AMD does not intend to fill pears in ash - new, low-voltage APU systems equipped with Ryzen processors and graphic systems from the Vega family go on sale .

Two new models are Ryzen 3 2200GE and Ryzen 5 2400GE , based on the basic, previously presented APU without the letter "E" in the name. These are actually the same models, although with a reduced energy demand, which may result in their more common use not only in laptops, but also in miniPC computers. TDP in this case drops from 65 to 35W, so it is a really significant difference.

Ryzen 3 2200GE is a quad-core system supporting four threads, the base frequency of 3.2 GHz (3.6 GHz in Turbo mode), with Vega 8 graphics clocked at 1100 MHz. Ryzen 5 2400GE is clocked in the same frequency, but offers the capabilities of a Vega 11 graphics chip with 1250 MHz clock speed. Interestingly, both of these systems will offer unlocked multipliers, which means that they are prone to overclocking.

AMD Will Prepare Security Updates For Processors

The processors will debut at really good prices - Ryzen 3 2200GE is expected to cost $ 100, while for Ryzena 5 2400GE we will pay $ 163. So it seems that these APUs can be a good base for creating cheap and offering good performance of computers, also based on a passive cooling system.

Characteristics of a part of the Coffee Lake range:

  • Core i7-8700K: 6C / 12T, 12MB L3, 95W, 3.7GHz
  • Core i7-8700: 6C / 12T, 12MB L3, 95W, 3.2GHz
  • Core i5-8600K: 6C / 6C, 9MB L3, 95W, 3.6GHz
  • Core i5-8400: 6C / 6C, 9MB L3, 65W, 2.8GHz
This acceleration of CPU outputs of Intel is confirmed by  availability of first final samples from which CPC Hardware was able to obtain details. We learn that Core i7-8700K will embed 6 cores (+ Hyper-threading) at a base frequency of 3.7 GHz. turbo mode will allow up to 4.3 GHz on a single core, 4.2 GHz on two cores and 4 GHz on three or more cores.  Core i7-8700 takes over 6 cores + HT, But saw its base frequency drop to 3.2 GHz.

Next two Core i5 which, if they keep 6 cores, lose Hyper-threading. Core i5-8600K will have a base frequency of 3.6 GHz while Core i5-8400 will be set to 2.8 GHz.  turbo frequencies are not yet revealed. With regard to TDP, there is talk of 95 W on  Core i7 and i5-8600K and 65 W on i5-8400It is obviously possible that other intermediate references are proposed, notably a Core i5-8500

Regarding mobile platforms, we note the notable arrival of a reference to 4 cores in "U" series for a TDP of 28 watts. As our colleagues point out, U series were limited to " Here with dual-core chips and only H series - with TDP of 45 W - proposed to go to 4 coresWhat to see come of ultraportables (type Microsoft Surface Laptop ) and other two-in-one (type Samsung Galaxy Book ) much more swiftly.

With the Ryzen Threadripper , AMD will tackle the Intel HETC segment, especially its Core-X chips. This family will propose a chip with 16 physical cores and 32 logical cores. A few weeks before its launch, it appears in the Geekbench benchmark database.
This is not the first time that this processor makes its appearance of this software . This makes it possible to see the progress made by AMDGeekBench identifies the processor under AMD reference ZD1840A8UGAF4 @ 3.40 GHz (1 processor, 16 cores, 32 threads). It has been tested on an AMD Whitehaven OPS rev B motherboard equipped with 32 GB of RAM.

In front of the previous scores we have a clear progression in multi-hearts since the score climbs 24723 points to 26768. In single-core test, the situation is reversed with a slight decrease from 4216 to 4074. AMD is well in phase Optimization for this next novelty. It should be noted that it is naturally necessary to remain cautious in the face of all this.

Intel Core X-Series 2017 processor family

Intel took advantage of Computex 2017 to unveil its next HEDT processor family. We are here on an elitist segment where prices are reaching highs. We've talked to you about this announcement through several of our sources and some press releases. Intel has however offered a very complete presentation of its high-end platform .
Before entering the thread of the subject, it should be noted that the giant processor to properly prepare his shot. Since the release of  Ryzen of AMD, the giant has remained silent and we now have the explanation.
AMD has really managed its big comeback with chips like the Ryzen 7 and the Ryzen 5 able to redefine the standards relegating for the occasion the offer of Intel to a lower segment. The market was shaken by an offer aimed at a multiplication of the number of hearts and therefore a surge of performance under applications highly "multithreaded". The silence of Intel is explained by the immediate impossibility of answering. The firm has accepted the challenge leaving time to soothe the effervescence around Ryzen.
On its side AMD worked its return with a frontal attack and, let's say it, virulent on several segments.Core 5 and Core i7 have been mishandled while the Core i3 are threatened as well as the HEDT segment yet dominated by Intel. Discreet on the issue, AMD had for a moment the will to attack also this very special offer.
Intel Core, i9,Skylake,desktop,pc,upgrades,Intel ,Core i7,Core i9 Skylake-X,Core i5,Core i7
We now know that the platform X399 and Ryzen Threadripper is intended for this. It will feature a 16-core and 32 Threads technology showcase.
For several weeks, rumors about Intel's latest developments have evoked Kaby Lake-X and Skylake-X chips with up to 12 cores. In fact, Intel does not intend to leave the field open to Ryzen.

Core i9 Skylake-X, Intel wants to dominate the market

Intel Core, i9,Skylake,desktop,pc,upgrades,Intel ,Core i7,Core i9 Skylake-X,Core i5,Core i7
The US firm introduced a new brand with Core i9 and unveiled several chips ranging from Core i5 X-Series to Core i9 X-series to Core i7 X-Series and especially a monster in anticipation, a Core i9 Extreme Edition . It will be here to reaffirm its position on the top of the range. Intel does not mince words by talking about desktop processors
"The most powerful and most evolving in the world".
A total of nine chips are planned with a Core i5 X-series, three Core i7 X-Series and five Core i9 X-Series. The following table shows that Intel has no choice but to trigger a multiplication of the number of cores.
Intel Core, i9,Skylake,desktop,pc,upgrades,Intel ,Core i7,Core i9 Skylake-X,Core i5,Core i7
Thus 6 cores and 12 Threads are programmed for the Core i7-7740X and Core i7-7800X, 8-core and 16 Threads for the Core i7-7820X. It will therefore be necessary to be careful because the family Core i7 is now declined in 4 cores, 6 cores and 8 cores.
The transition to Core i9 continues this ramp-up with 10 hearts then 12 cores, 14 cores, 16 cores and finally a monster with 18 cores and 36 Threads. It bears a name the Core i9-7980XE. Technical details are still lacking. We do not have any information on its frequencies, its cache or the number of PCIe 3.0 line supported.
Intel Core, i9,Skylake,desktop,pc,upgrades,Intel ,Core i7,Core i9 Skylake-X,Core i5,Core i7
This chip will operate on an LGA 2066 socket and referring to the slide "New Intel Core X-Series", a TDP of 160 Watts is very possible. Finally the last capture offers a comparison of these novelties against the current offer.
Intel Core, i9,Skylake,desktop,pc,upgrades,Intel ,Core i7,Core i9 Skylake-X,Core i5,Core i7
Note that these Core X-Series 2017 processors split into two families with Skylake-X chips 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 cores (noted by SKL-X by Intel) and chips only In four cores Kaby lake-X (noted KBL-X by Intel).
It remains to wait to see if AMD also plans to upgrade its Ryzen ThreadRipper range which currently tables on up to 16 cores and 32 Threads.

Tuto - How to install Windows 7 on Skylake

Here's how to install Windows 7 on the next generation motherboards using the Intel Skylake architecture.

I will let you know how to successfully install this OS on the H110 / B150 / H170 and Z170 chipsets, which are mainly made for Windows 10, but nothing is impossible!

In both cases, at the beginning you must unblock access to your OS under your bios in your advanced settings. Be careful, especially do not launch your installation before that, otherwise you will have to do a Clear Bios because nothing will work .
Also be sure to put your keyboard and your mouse on the USB 2.0 ports of your motherboard provided for this purpose because the 3.0 are not active until the drivers are installed. So it will not work!

Then here is what to do:

1:You have an old DVD player that you can recover and that worked under Windows7. Plug it into your new installation. Then take your DVD installation media. Boot on and hop is off ...
There is always USB support, but nothing says it will work the first time.

2:You do not have an old DVD player, but a new one. Initially, you will need to create a USB * installation media and a DVD installation media via an iso * image, if you do not have one.
Afterwards, you have to realize your two supports, first you can attempt an installation directly via the bootable USB key. If it works, it's perfect!
If this is not the case, start the installation via the DVD. Unfortunately, at one point the system tells you not to have the drivers for your new DVD player. Do not panic ! The USB key holder is there for that! Remove the DVD warmly by leaving your screen as it is, and put your USB stick on one of the 2.0 ports of your motherboard. Then try again.

If everything has been followed to the letter, the system will boot on the key and the installation should start.

The release of the very impressive  processors under Ryzen architecture on  the AMD side has really piqued Intel to  the quick. The American founder would  thus prepare a real monster of power,  inspired by its competitor.

For several years, AMD will have survived on the market of processors in the shadow of Intel. The smelter has systematically positioned second place with a supply of chips inspired by the American brand without ever really equaling it in terms of technology or performance.

But with the release of Ryzen processors, AMD has clearly demonstrated its ability to surprise and innovate with a series of modern and well-designed chips, offering technologies that go beyond Intel's. AMD bet on processors with more cores than Intel's, wishing to make 8-core chips a new standard where Intel was limited to 4 with a small evolution in recent years to 6-core processors Processors Intel 8 and 10 cores are limited to three references oriented towards the ultra high end and are invoiced accordingly).
